I, Ram Singh, have lived in our community for forty years and am fully familiar with the issues confronting San Jose. I have been a Civil & Environmental Engineering professor & a mentor at SJSU as well as a professional consultant to many companies. I have protected the public interest through my service on Local and State commissions and boards. Based upon my professional expertise and knowledge of the environment, Governor Schwarzenegger appointed me to the San Francisco Bay Regional Water Quality Control Board. I will work hard to bring about a truly open and efficient government.

 With your trust I will actively work for:

• Sustaining San Jose’s status as a center of technological innovation;
• Supporting schools, community initiatives and efforts to reduce crime;
• Preventing tax and fee increases and eliminate overspending;

I will bring much needed expertise to the problems we face togather and the opportunities we have. I will add a synergy to the City Council.
